WHY A BOX?
I wanted to create an experience that can happen in any form of housing. A box of items that could be handed out to help educate and provide knowledge on Urban Farming as well as definitions on food insecurity and food deserts would allow our solution to reach more people in Chicago, IL.

By fitting everything into a box, the experience becomes portable and shareable with others. The goal of this solution was to educate and inform. With feedback from my peers and professor, I learned that the best way to educate is to make the lesson not look like one. I also found that the easier it is for something to fit into the users' lives, the more likely they will adopt the solution into their daily routine.
Along with that, my peers recommended that I make all aspects of my "care package" aesthetically appealing and inviting in order to encourage playfulness. With this feedback, I began more ideation and experimentation on potential branding. I made sketches for the box, came up with color palettes, as well as returned to my peers for their advice on aesthetics for the box.
